I re-laid this positive news to Ivor yesterday afternoon following a call I received from Aviva claims manager and Ivor was very, very relieved, to receive the news, thanks again for your priority treatment of this event which has certainly helped the client enormously.
The insured has several internal staff who they have allocated virtually exclusively to deal with this priority incident and in consequence have been detracted away from normal duties. I have stated to Ivor that reasonable labour costs incurred by the client in mitigating their loss should be covered by the BI extension of their Engineering policy and I expect Ivor will set out that aspect of the loss for you upon his return next week.
